When our clients come to Tana B we want them to feel comfortable and at ease. Not everybody enjoys having a stranger with a pair of scissors go at their hair but of course, we’d like to think we aren’t ‘any old strangers’.
One of the most common clichés about hairdressing is that we don’t know when to stop talking… hey, that’s not true. It’s pretty easy to tell whether a customer wants a bit of small talk or an involved chat from those early exchanges. If a customer doesn’t want to talk – we respect that. Earlier this week we spotted an interesting news feature in Marie Claire reporting on a Cardiff based Salon called Bauhaus that has introduced a ‘quiet chair’. This isn’t for the kids or restless spouses of those getting their hair cut; this is for the customers.
Scott Miller, owner of Bauhaus argued that customers deserve a choice when they visit the salon and an opportunity to switch off and relax. It’s a fair point and one we can see being adopted by more salons and barbershops down the line.
The team at Tana B reckon we’re pleasant bunch but if you ever feel we’re nattering a bit too much, well; just say.

As for us, the Christmas season is now well under way and we’re taking a hefty number of bookings. We’re in good spirits however so please don’t hesitate to drop by.
