Another year almost done. 12 months 12 different looks. What have been your favourites?
Lets re-cap all that 2017 has offered our locks:
This year we saw the return of short hair cuts.
We welcomed back the pixie cut and went to new levels with the ‘LOB’ which still trends worldwide.
Using a cutting method which makes the ends look full. Blow drying with a slight bounce, or even poker straight, this has been my favourite!
Colour in 2017 reached a world of new levels. We left granny grey back in 2016, but this year we saw the awakening of pastel pop. From powder blues, rose golds to even peachy pinks! Creative hair has needed it’s own standing ovation. Not forgetting Toni Hobson, Bronze Award Winner for creative colour this year at the Colour Zoom competition.
Braiding hair has still been so popular this year. Made famous by celebrities from around the world, we are now coming up with new braid trends. My favourite this year has been the half up half down braid
We witness the come back of the poker straight hair. You either love or hate it, personally this for me is an easy look: WASH-DRY-STRAIGHTEN. I love the sleek look this gives, and suits so many of our fashion trends.
What has been your favourite this year? Still loving the Balayage? Ombre? Or bouncy curly blow dry?
It’s been a great year for hair, I can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for us. Who knows, the perm may have a comeback??
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year xx
